UNIT LENGTH: 8 Days
ASSESSMENT:  

DAY 1

  • Welcome Back
  • 5 Minutes - Greetings; Waffles with Syrup Warm Up and Staff Wars
  • 10 Minutes - Respect Discussion and Post It Notes
    • Location - Carpet / Staff Spots
    • 1 - 2 Min - Quiet Cheetah Practice
    • Respect - School Wide Expectations
      • Why important? - going to focus on Mallet Instruments
      • Post-Its & Pencils
        • 1 Min Explain
          • Post-It Pad / Pencils to 1st person in group (Student Choice Opportunity - Rows or Columns?)
          • 2nd Person Decide sitting location - Floor or Risers
          • 3rd person Writes first
          • Rotate Post-Its/ Pencil around group
        • 3 Min Write and Discuss - All Post Its to Staff Leader at Conclusion
      • Large Group - review post its and stick onto anchor chart
  • 5 Minutes - Respect Chant from Mallet Madness by Artie Almeida - To be performed on mallet instruments next time
  • Additional Time - Vamos A Jugar
